Feather and Bead Embellished Cabochons

These cabochons have been decorated with a row of beading and a layer of pheasant feathers. They can be sewn on or glued directly onto a gourd. These are just examples - colors vary

Large African Porcupine Quills

These quills make great decorative accents to your gourd projects. Use them for handles across the top opening of a gourd, or decorate a mask!

NEW! I have just found a new supplier, and have obtained PREMIUM quality quills! These quills are an average of 8 - 10" long and are quite thick, similar to those shown in the photo. Buy single quills for $1 each, or get a Baker's Dozen when you order 12.

The beads are stitched to a flexible leather backing so they can be glued directly onto a gourd or sewn on through predrilled holes. Approximately 1 3/4" wide

Tin, Silver Colored, Copper or Brass Cones

Brass, Copper, Tin and Silver cones are about 1 1/4" long.

$1.00 per bag (copper cones are 1" and are $1.25)

Use these as decorative accents on masks or as dangles.

Jingle Cones

Jingle cones were traditionally used by Native Americans; making the cones by rolling discarded snuff can lids, they created decorative accents for their dresses and other dance regalia. Just like the originals, these come complete with embossed printing on the metal. The cones are approximately 2 1/2" long.

Deer Skin Lacing

These 36" laces are soft and supple. Unlike the cowhide suede lacing you buy at the craft stores, this soft deerskin lacing is easy to use and hangs beautifully.

Available in 4 colors. From top to bottom: Black, dark brown, dark saddle and saddle (chamois color)

Beaded Animal Pins

These animal pins are completely beaded and make a wonderful accent on a gourd. The pin backing can be removed so they can be glued directly onto a gourd, (or leave them as is, and wear them as a pin!)

Some pins come in assorted colors. Please let use select one for you, or email me if you have a preference. Note: The dragonflies and some of the lizards do not have a pin backing.

Ringneck Pheasant Pelts

Chinese Pheasant pelts that include the tail feathers - and this batch also has the head and wings. You can use sections of the pelt, leaving the feathers attached to the skin, or pull individual feathers off to use on your gourd project. There are a wide variety of feather colors on each pelt! *Note - the tail will be removed from the pelt to make packing easier and to prevent damage during shipping.

These cabochons have been decorated with rows of decorative beading. They can be sewn on or glued directly onto a gourd. Small measures approximately 1 1/8" wide, Medium is approximately 1 1/2" wide, and the larger size is approximately 1 3/4" wide.

Solid Brass and NEW! Copper Beads

These 8mm solid brass beads are really nice! These are not lightweight, thin shelled beads - these are heavy, solid brass beads that weigh enough to hang nicely from a mask or gourd bowl. Now also available in copper plated in 8mm and 7mm sizes. (limited supply)

These bronze coins are the real thing, not replicas! They are from the Ch'ing Dynasty (1800's). Different designs - some may be older or more valuable than others. They would look great when combined with a set of chopsticks (shown below) and the Asian Suspended Vase project packet.

Feathered Strips with Beaded Cabochon

Each strip measures about 7", and has leather ties at each end so the piece can be tied around the neck of a gourd; or remove the ties and glue them directly onto the gourd surface. Each strip is mounted on a soft, flexible backing and is embellished with pheasant feathers and a beaded cabochon.

Agate Arrowheads

These arrowheads are really nice quality. Each one is sharp and could actually be used on arrow reproductions. Each one is cut from agate, and no two are alike. The stone colors range from creamy tans and whites to jade green and brick red. Each one is about 1 1/2" in length. $1 each.
