Gourd birdhouses are easy to make and can be decorative or functional.  Gourds can also be used to make wonderful bird feeders.  Most of the birdhouses shown here are decorative.  Functional birdhouses should not have a perch, and you should ensure that the hole diameter and the height of the hole is appropriate for the birds you want to attract.
