Foredom Power Carving Tools

*A personal note - I've had a Foredom tool for over 20 years, and in that time no repairs have been needed other than normal maintenance (lubrication of the shaft) and replacement of a broken cable in the flex shaft (due to my own misuse!) In the same 20 year span, I've probably used and discarded 5 or 6 Dremel tools due to bad switches or bearings. In my experience, Dremel tools just don't last as long and aren't easily repaired Foredom tools are more expensive than a Dremel, but will not need to be replaced a few years down the road. I know many people are still using old models that work well after many years of use.
All the new 1/6HP Foredom tools come with a TWO year manufacturer's warranty and are discounted from the manufacturers suggested retail price. (Accessories such as burs carry a 90 day warranty.) The SRM bench model features the newly redesigned and more powerful 1/6 HP Reversible SR Motor. The bench model is easily portable and great for people that don't have a permanent workshop. This model has a variable speed control built right into the base for easy operation at any speed. The reversible setting is especially useful for left handed people. The motor comes with a flex shaft. Handpieces are available separately so you can order the one you prefer (shown below).
